AGARTTHA-ARKHAM ASYLUM SPLIT/NEWS

AGARTTHA:We are rehearsing new songs starting tomorrow and we are all very happy about it.The new songs are slow and punish every little emotion that pumps blood into the heart.Vagia's voice is getting better everyday due to constant practicing:)

ARKHAM ASYLUM:After a 3 months of no rehearsing at all we are back with writing new riffs and tempos for the full length cd we are planning to record next summer.1 new song is already complete and just destroys!Manos did an excellent job making my life difficult on the drumkit!A second song is in progress halfway done called Pariah Jackal of Autumn.We are thinking of chancing our name but we still havent...:)

BY THE WAY the split album is finished and will be released via EXPRESSIONOISISM before 2010!

MELOCO VELOCET

I have began recording the Meloco Velocet full length!We are a Ritual-Ambient project consisting of me and the almighty Elias.Almost done with the music and in early October Elias will put on his theatrical vocals.Stay tuned!

NEWS NEWS NEWS

AGARTTHA: we have finished recording-mixing-mastering at Illusionaire studios!Thanos Bikos did an awesome job and understood exactly what we had in mind.We are waiting for the forest dwellers to hit the studio in early july to finish their side of the split cd.Luckaly it will be out around September



INJEKTING KHAOS:as i mentioned before they kick serious ass.Terrorizer magazine FINALLY reviewed their mini cd and gave it a great review.Anyway i was asked to write an outro for their new release and i was pretty excited.This release will be the tombstone of all wannabe greek black metal bands.Beware x 2!

SOOOO MANY FUCKINGGGG GOOD RELEASES LATELY!Which means that extreme musicians are still capable of writing good material..lets focus of some albums i have been blown away by lately..I will keep it plain and simple from now on.




SUFFOCATION:blood oath

Here we have the return of the kings of brutal death.Really close to Pierced From Within,this release bridges the old school days with the now-days.One of the best material from them!Vocals dominate once more,the riffs are fucking killer,technical playing,old school feeling and Mike SMITH kicking the shit out of the drums as always!Fuck yeahhh!!!CHECK IT OUT OR DIE!




HEAD-save me from myself

So Brian Welch is back drug and alcohol free and wrote his first album since his departure from KORN,the only nu-metal band that i find interesting.Well guess what??I loved this record.It has a dark but very hopeful style to it,melodies surpass your soul like crazy and Head's voice is really good.Even though its a nu-metal record i find it kick ass and worth to give it a try.Especially when you feel down this is somewhat of a good "pill" for the pain inside.Well done




DEN SAAKALDTE-all hail pessimism

This is truly one of the best releases of 2009 for me.Black metal which really captures a grim-melancholic feel with minimal rage and great vocals from Shinig's singer who in my opinion is one of the best vocalists ever in Black metal history.Extremely nice flow during the songs,great musicianship and FEELING FEELING FEELING..The trumpets and saxos played in 2 two songs really give the riffs a touch of bittersweet emotion.Superb...

I was really looking forward to this!Magrudergrind is my favorite powerviolence band ever!In this new record they sound so damn angry that they make you mosh all the way from one end of your house to another!The vocals have somewhat stepped back from going tatatatata-tata-tatata all the time into more of a rotten sound kind of vocal phase.The drummer blast beats like hell and the production is just superb(kind of like the one from the swedish band Splitter but cleaner).Support this band if you havent yet.Pure-sincere-excellent played grindcore is here to stay motherfuckers!Get busy and start moshing!



GLORIOR BELLI-meet us at the southern sign


Since i found out tha these guys signed to Candlelight records and the fact that their previous record sucked i thought they were done for..Well guess again!Glorior Belli hypnotize you with Ved Buens Ende kind of riffs in the slower parts and finish you off with grim-mysterious riffs while the blast beats pound.Vocals are rotten to the core and production is heavy and unclean as it must be for this particular record.A band definately checking out and see them live if ever they arrive in your town or city.




WORMROT-abuse


Singapore(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) bastards Wormrot are a new grindcore band in the vein of Phobia and Magrudergrind.When i first saw their video of BORN STUPID i was just astonished from their abilities to write excellent technical riffs along with unbelievable drumming and a kick ass sound!This is the next best thing in grindcore and i will be really lucky to see them live in OBSCENE EXTREME this summer!One song better than the other.What can i say???I Am just done for.To prove you that they fucking rule here is the video of BORN STUPID.Look how intense they fucking play man!!Yes i am fucking excited!OVER AND OUTTTTT!

I will be really brief about this release.Ok so this is a collaboration between Fenriz and Natterfrost.No need to point out the bands they play for and who they are...This projects has two sides.On the first side Fenriz delivers his own composition of old school doom metal in the vein of Black Sabbath and Trouble and may i say that he nails it!With THE fullest doomy sound as far as production is conserned,the three tracks must be treasured by doom fans.His vocal abilities are once more stunning...
The second side introduces as to black metal songs from his past archives with Nattefrost on vocals.I just thing they are BORING!Nothing more nothing less!
I would insist you buy this records only if you love gwell played sincere doom metal and to people who still love boring black metal just because the people involves are contributing in great bands.

AGARTTHA recordings

After a delay of about 7 months a side project i have to Arkham Asylum named Agarttha have began recordings.We basically recorded live in our home studio old school style and now we will go to mix it and master it in Illusionaire Studios with Thanos Bikos.The 2 track split with the forests dwellers A.A. will be out maybe in the end of September via EXPRESSIONOISISM. Basically our main influences are Neurosis-Electric Wizard and Burzum(filosofem era) so expect down tempo quality shit!The songs are clocking around 12 and 8 minutes each.We would like to thank Vagia for her contribution in vocals.Her morbid voice was really appropriate.Let us note that our amp manipulator G.G is aka Hellboy 106(great noise music!).

THE FOETAL MIND-Suicide solution video

Most depressive bands just copy and copy burzum over and over again.I do agree that being original in that field is preety difficult but at least the riffs and the tempos kai change a little bit,not to mention the technical playing.This band comes from France with this new song and ready to release an official album.Having already released 4 demos which didnt really make the difference,this one apart from the greatness of the video chokes you into the muddy waters of melancholy.Shining and Silencer influences are included and that can only mean one thing:DESPAIR AND ISOLATION.If this band records more great songs as this then they will be on the left side of the throne which belongs of course to Make A change.. Kill Yourself and on the right side is Sterbend.Bring the razors...

I consider black metal band DODSFERD one of the best and most sincere bands i have heard in this particular genre.They began in 2002 and hail from Athens Greece and being led by none other than Wrath who is considered by many as a very strange and bizarre character.I had the pleasure of meeting him one day and i must say that misery is his number one friend.Plus the fact that generally he had a communication problem.I didnt expect anything else.His music truly reflects his insides and i respect that.Moribund records releases all of his cd's and merchandise since 2006. So far he has released 4 incredible albums,1 split cd and n june a 7 inch will be released too.If you want desperate black metal then this is the deal...

INJEKTING KHAOS

Recently i was invited by the guys from this Black-Death metal horde to one of their rehearsals to listen to their new tracks.I was really pounded by their chaotic riffs and flawless drumming.When you first hear them you notice that Arkhon Infaustus and Antaeus are their favorite bands but i find that these guys have what we call personal sound as well.Vocals scare the shit out of wannabe black metal singers and generally i think their album when out will make a difference inside this shithole of black metal nonsence that is being released by many nowdays.If you havent heard their ep SALVATION THROUGH VIOLENCE(which Terrorizer magazine treasured in one of its issues) i suggest you check it out.The sooner the better.Beware...

ARKHAM ASYLUM

Arkham Asylum is the name of the band i play drums for.I really cant describe our sound but if you are interested then check out our myspace at www.myspace.com/arkhamasylumgreece .We will hit the studio in July to record 3 songs for an ep release after the summer.Recording will be handled by Thanos Bikos in Illusionaire Studios.

SCHWARTZ AND ANGER

Alright then!!!!Here is the long awaited album by this Greek band.This four piece comes from Athens and just destroys easily most bands in Europe in my opinion.Their influences are many and surely extreme!They combine crust-grind-hardcore-metal and some post rock influences in some parts of the 10+ minute songs this album contains.Crushing guitar riffs followed by a great sounding bass and a drummer that plays like their is no future left are the main ingredients to this.All of the members sing on this one making the songs sound full of anxiety and hatred for any kind of oppressive system.They let their ideas fall right inside your brain and make you wanna mosh and hard dance.The piano intro at the second song along with a good sample is really creative and open minded.Really loved it.Production on this one even though its clean and everything sounds awesome doesnt have the proper boost but overall who cares really.Check it out NOW!Killer!!!

ICTUS-imperium

If you have not heard this one yet then stop reading and go buy-steal-download or whatever else you want this brilliant album.

Ictus come from Spain.They play technical epic crust-metal with At The Gates influences on guitars.The album consists of only one song which is 39 minutes long but does not tire the listener at all!On the contrary it leaves you wanting more!Having a crust background they unfold severe head colliding riffs,melodies and many Metal influences sounding very original.Even when they let slow clean melodies caress your ears they do it in a way so as not to sound post-something like many bands do.They also have one kickass drummer that simply pounds the hell out of his drums!Especially when he blastbeats in two parts of the song the intensity is freaking you out!I have not heard this kind of drumming since the drummer of Tragedy-His Hero Is Gone and the drummer of Catharsis.One of the best i have heard.Their singer spits his lyrics in his native language with sincerity which they concern issues such as human and animal liberation and the vegan movement.With a devastating sound and production this album just flows into you grasping every inch of your soul.
